The Town of Stanley has initiated a Downtown Transportation Plan. The Plan will continue the vision established with the Central Business District Master Plan and will develop a more focused plan of action to create a friendlier and more welcoming environment. These improvements will attract new businesses and visitors. The plan will look at existing vehicle traffic, truck traffic, the CSX Railroad, sidewalks, parking, and streetscapes.
A conceptual plan for Downtown Stanley will be prepared based on an analysis of the existing conditions. This conceptual plan will be presented to the public and refined based on feedback.
Public engagement will be a vital part of this study, as Stanley residents and business owners can help define the vision they have for Downtown Stanley. This vision can then be incorporated into the Plan. The public can help inform the consultant team of needs and wants related to the streets, sidewalks, parking, and streetscapes in Stanley.
