Welcome to the Stanley Fire Department website. The Stanley Fire Department was established on May 5, 1935, and has part-time and volunteer staff. Stanley Fire Department is proud to have an ISO (Insurance Service Office) rating of 5. Station 22 also assists area departments with mutual aid response outside of the town's fire district.
The Town of Stanley Fire Department's mission is to preserve life and property through emergency response, code enforcement, and public education to the citizens and public of Stanley.
Fire Prevention Programs
Stanley Fire Department offers fire prevention programs and life safety education programs; as well, we also offer free blood pressure checks to the citizens during normal business hours.
To request a fire prevention program, they can contact the Stanley Fire Department.
Stanley residents who own their own homes and do not have a working Smoke Detector are eligible to receive one free of charge. Stanley Fire Department participates in the Gaston County Smoke Detector Program. If you need someone to help install one call the Gaston County Fire Marshal's office at 704-866-3350. When you call you will need to give your name, address, and phone number.
Donations are accepted to help other families receive smoke detectors through the Gaston County Firefighters Association at:

If you rent your home, your landlord is required by law to install a properly operational smoke detector. You and / or your landlord take responsibility for maintaining the smoke detector's battery.
