Bill Due Dates
Water bills are due on the 15th of every month before 5 pm to avoid the 10% penalty. Penalties are added at 5 pm on the 15th. Bills must be paid by 5 pm on the 25th of each month to avoid being disconnected. We will no longer honor payments in the drop box after 5 pm on the 25th.

Utility Service
New residents can set up utilities by completing the Utility Service Application (PDF).
Trash Service
Trash service is provided by Waste Connections. Should you have any questions regarding your service or a missed pick-up, please call Waste Connections (formerly Advanced Disposal) at 704-596-9428. Missed pick-ups must be reported within 24 hours.

- I live near a sewer pump station. What should I do if the alarm goes off?

There is an emergency number posted on the fence at the pump station for you to call. It is 704-201-3992.
- Who do I report street lights that have stopped working?

Trash is picked up every week on Monday or Tuesday.
- When will I receive my trash cans?

Normally within 1 week.
- What days is my garbage picked up?

Your pick-up days are based on where you live. Call Town Hall at 704-263-4779 and they will be happy to provide you with your days.
- Can I get an adjustment for filling up my swimming pool?

Swimming pool adjustments are offered once per calendar year. The adjustment will be made only to the sewer charges. Residents must pay for the water fee as it is stated on their bill.
If you would like your yearly adjustment applied, please bring your bill to Town Hall.
- Can I get an adjustment on my water bill for a leak?

Yes. If a leak has occurred and been repaired, residents may bring their bill and repair receipt to Town Hall for a one-time adjustment. This type of adjustment can be used one time per calendar year. The repair receipt must be presented in order for the adjustment to be processed.
- Is there a reconnect fee if my water is cut off?

Yes. A $50 fee is assessed on any account that has not been paid by 5 pm on the 25th of each month.
