Water Restrictions Lifted
The water advisory to boil water has been lifted. We are pleased to report that recent testing showed good results to lift advisory. Thank you for your patience during this time.
If you grew up in a small town or even just drove through small towns and wondered about them; if you have ever started a sentence with “I remember when . . .”, welcome to Stanley, where you will feel right at home.
We are a growing community with all the advantages of close proximity to a major urban center and a large university town. But we remain far enough removed to retain a distinctive small town flavour and attitude. We invite you to come and explore our town. You will experience that special hometown feeling when you visit the historical downtown of Stanley, NC.
Creating avenues for Stanley families to enjoy summer in our town, the Stanley Parks
& Recreation Department proudly announces Movies in the Parks, where quality current
and classic movies will be shown throughout the summer for free.
There is no better place to be this summer than your neighborhood park. Grab a picnic
basket and a blanket and enjoy the show. You bring the snacks, we'll bring the stars.
